We were nearly deterred after reading the other reviews online about the poor service and limits on how many packs of egg rolls we could buy. In reality, the staff was actually super accommodating and didn't even bat an eye when we asked if we could purchase 24 packs. They ... even offered a box (for 1 CAD) so that we could bring the delicate and delicious egg rolls back safely and encouraged us to check out the rest of food court as they prepared our order. I wish I had read all the bad reviews before buying from here. I fell victim to the rude aunties here selling the egg waffles. I asked for a hot one they were making and she shouts back “it’s already hot “! Then she tosses the bag at me. So ... uncalled for ! If you want to get yelled at for no reason and treated poorly then this is the place. I was so mad but did not say anything. It tasted so STALE and the flavour was non existent. What a waste ! So after reading the reviews, I think there is gonna be certain things to co wider as to when to buy First of all, service is pretty non existent, but don’t ever expect much from a chines spot hawker style stand, especially in p mall Secondly, for taste, if there’s a huge ... line, I have always opted to not buy because I don’t wanna wait lol When I last went, line only had a few people in the queue and we actually got quite crispy outer layers with a nice soft interior I think when there’s a long line, they don’t fan it out or let it cool as they want to turn over the line quick. Very bad service. Ask a chocolate egg cake, ask me paid 1st, than just give one which was already on the desk ( I don’t know how long), ask the pink shirt lady for make a new one, she said Ok, but need to wait 5 minutes. Then I heard ... that she told her other staff just do regular egg cake. After 4 minutes, one staff ask her something (they speak very small voice), then the staff said to her: you did not tell us to do a chocolate egg cake. Ok, I do now. I saw quite a few people queue up to buy Hong Kong style mini eggs here, so I wanted to try them too. The service was quick but the quality was bad. I bought the vanilla flavour mini eggs $7 for two. It tasted way too soft and not ... crispy at all. I was quite disappointing. The lady who worked there also made me felt rushed too. Once the mini eggs were ready, she didn’t bother to blow it with a fan or let it cool down a bit. She quickly stuffed them into a paper bag and gave them to me. I guess she didn’t expect any return customers. From my previous experience with the other shops, the mini egg must be cool down first and then put into a paper bag in order to have a crispy texture. Their mini eggs tasted so bad because the hot steam trapped inside the paper bag caused the mini eggs to turn wet and soft. I don’t think I will go back. Read more
