I've been living here for 2 years now, and every time I come, I see so many people. I don't like to wait in line, so I don't eat here. Today, I decided to try it. I got in line for two ice creams. They are quite tasty and have a ... soft, delicate flavor. I didn't understand the menu or how to order, and although the server wasn't too impatient, I felt he was reluctant to explain it to me. Best ice cream place with so many options to choose from. My all time favorite flavour is pistachio. I get that always, along with another flavour. The place hasn't lost its charm and still the same after all these years. Nice feeling to see some things never change ... in this fast paced world. Still standing after all these years. Just like the Old Firehall Confectionery. Everyone knows what a mainstay this place is for gelato and ice cream. The funny joke I make with my friends is that I've never once seen a single person buy bubble tea from this place even though one ... of the signs says "bubble tea" on it. For gelato, I truly think there's not a place in markham that has this many flavours. There's some flavours here that I've never seen anywhere else. Moreover, no other place can topple their pistachio gelato. The staff looks identical to when I was back in high school as if none of them have aged LOL. Making gelato must be calm and destressing haha. I tried bacio with my gf for the first time recently and I really liked it! It might be one of my new faves. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they went way past "normal" inflation measures and 1 scoop is gougingly expensive now. Can't blame them but the 5 star value is not there imo. Read more
