Good Catch Cafe has been one of my go-to Hong Kong cafes over the past few years. In my opinion, one of the better Hong Kong cafes in Markham (huge caveat being that I'm not actually from Hong Kong and my go-to dishes aren't the typical authentic HK Cafe fare). Go ... to has always been either the Double Baked Curry Beef Brisket, or the Double Baked Chicken Cutlet with black pepper sauce. I've found that the food is always really great if its the first time you're having it in a while, but definitely far too heavy and one-dimension in flavor to be something that you have more than once or twice a month. Got the mixed curry beef + fish balls once and thought it was super reasonably priced for decent portions. Surprisingly their fried chicken wings (typical HK style) and fried fish cutlet were really good. Didn't come out particularly oily, and was super crispy and fresh. Haven't gone in a while, but prices were fairly reasonable at around $20 for the baked rice as well as a free drink (believe this is only for some drinks and others require an upcharge). Generally somewhat recommended if you're looking for something more suited for the taste of a CBC, but by no means a culinary experience. Read more
