Woodstone Eatery - Markham, Ontario

This is a HK style cafe with a slightly fancier menu. You always need to wait for a table during lunch time. Food and drinks were good. Service was okay. Food portion was slightly on the small side. There were plenty of parking spots.

Woodstone Eatery is a good HK cafe that sets itself apart from the rest by having Macanese dishes. We tried the spicy BBQ chicken steak which was really good with a big and piping hot piece of chicken and it was actually spicy. The sauce on the side was interesting, ... savoury and a little tangy and worked well with the chicken. We also tried the baked Portuguese chicken rice. The sauce was really nice with light flavours of coconut and curry. Milk tea is quite bland. Space is a bit cramped but service is quick and efficient. Read more

When I walked in, I was greeted by Joanne with a huge smile and I was seated very quickly. I ordered the Chef’s special (number 42) with a cup of tea and it was very flavourful and the food was fantastic. Every bite I took was enjoyable. Another great place for HK cafe! They are always busy. Ordered 1 French toast with mango drink 4/5 2. Fried chicken wings with fries 5/5 3. Ham and egg bun 3/5 4. Self picked spaghetti 5/5 5. We came here for the first time last week but withheld reviewing it until after the second time today. The food is excellent as there was no MSG used. I love the baked mutton w/ fried rice and baked ox tongue with fried rice. Per person cost is about $18 ... and is considered very reasonable nowadays. Will pin this place for future visits.
