So the food, was good. We had their brunch menu and got the chicken and waffles and the grand breakfast (way too much food for 1 person). However, the environment and the atmosphere could use some work. The floors were super sticky and there were a few flies hovering over our ... food. We were there pretty early and the place was completely empty but when we asked to change tables, the staff were hesitant. Updated review (August 1): I revisited pickle barrel Markville today with my family and I had a great dining experience! The food (we ordered 2 lobster pastas and a Reuben with fries) was great. The lobster pastas were so good that my family ordered 2. Tony's service was amazing (thank ... you!) He was accommodating, patient, and welcoming. No more flies neither in the dining area. Will come again. Thank you :) :) July 25: Food was good, EXCEPT the lettuce wrap.. it tasted like it was boiled in soy sauce, the fried bread tasted like it was cooked it stale oil. Other things we ordered: mushroom steak, lobster linguine, Reuben. All were tasting great. Fries were amazing! I visited on February 15th with my husband. We ordered from Valentine's day special menu. The food was amazing. The price was reasonable. Our server was great. I only wished the dessert was larger because it was for two. We plan to return. Highly recommend!

It's been five years since I've been to a Pickle Barrel and even longer since I've been to their location at Markville Mall. This time I was taking pictures for a friend's company Christmas party. I had no idea that this location had a party room for hosting events. It was ... more spacious than I thought it would be. There was even had a stage, dance floor, and a pretty good sound system that the DJ used. This was actually a nice venue! The buffet style meal featured a carvery with corned beef, three types of chicken, two types of pasta, two types of potatoes, roasted vegetables, Caesar salad, and all the condiments. I am very late in posting this review but better late than never! I had my baby shower at Pickle Barrel's banquet facilities on Oct 24th, 2021. The day was absolutely seamless! Jay and Brian ensured that everything was absolutely perfect for me. My guests were ... all amazed by the food and service and decor and several had inquired about doing an event here in the future. The food was so good that my mouth waters even now. I have never ever heard so many people rave about food at an event like this! If you want to sit back and actually enjoy your event and know that every last tiny detail is being taken care of then I highly recommend this venue. The staff were all so willing to help and serve and make this a day to remember. Thank you so much for making my classy Halloween themed baby shower an event to remember.
