*IMPORTANT UPDATE OCT 2018* The previous management and staff have (thankfully) returned to this location. I am very very happy to go back now and study or spend time with friends. (Original review from April 2018) I have been going to this location for over a year now and only recently have I ... had anything to complain about. From what I understand the ownership, management and staff have completely changed. One server, named Pauline was always so nice to us and other customers as well. But the service now is beyond awful. During a prior visit, 10 minutes after we had gotten our order, one of the staff was prompting us to pay because his shift was over. I wasn't sure what was going on so I just went with it, but eventually found out that they were pushing the bill on us so they could get a share of the tip before they left. That same visit they started playing Christmas music. The staff are either sitting in a booth or going in and out the back door for a smoke. Really frustrating. Read more

This new Green Grotto is locates at a weird plaza, which makes it a great quiet study place for the students since it is pretty hidden in a residential area (across Markville Mall). Drinks are decent, same quality as the store opened at Warden at Town Centre Boulevard. This location ... features a lunch menu, the portion is much smaller than expected, but still decent. One of the good thing is that this location closes late so definitely great for hanging out if you don’t want to go to Tim Hortons or McDonalds nearby. Read more

Great atmosphere and food! I love their takoyaki and desserts. Personally, quiet nights are my favourite there because you can enjoy the music and talk with a good friend.

Sticky rice is really good! Great customer service. The place is really quite if you want to work in your computer and there is plug-ins all around the place.

The Hokkaido bubble tea was alright, but the sweet potato fries tasted bland and we were given a very little bowl of it for 4.99. Same with the salt and pepper chicken although it tasted better than the fries. The fromosa was really sticky and sugary. I've gotten it at ... other places (and other Green Grottos) before but they weren't sticky and sugary like this one. Quite disappointed. Read more
