Freshly Squeezed - Markham, Ontario

Was craving Sugar Cane Juice so we decided to try this place for the first time. Please see photo for reference 1. No Cashier, had to find someone at the back and shout to ask to be served 2. Cost was $10.15 after tax for a Medium, extremely expensive 3. The Taste — ... the absolute worst part is that it tasted terrible. Very sour, probably rotten sugar cane was used. Watched them make it and they don’t use that much sugar cane to produce this much liquid. Definitely water or other things being added. Look at the color, very murky. I can't say I like this Freshly Squeezed. I'm not sure if all locations have the same problem, but I find it annoying when I see this banner advertising their Mango slush, you walk up expecting to get the same thing as what you see in the photo, only to ... find out you cannot get the mango chunks. You have to pay extra for mango chunks. That should've been clearly printed on the sign. And you will find out that the size that is allowed for the Buy one get one 50% off promo is for medium size only. Again, it'd make sense to have that printed on the sign as well. Also, you can't pay extra to upsize. Note that the promo does not include toppings in the drinks so you can pay extra for the toppings to be added. Once again, could've added a note "toppings are extra". It just gets annoying when you keep getting told "you can't do this, or that so many times". Read more

SHADY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sign clearly says 'topping included'. What it doesn't say is that the only topping included is mango chunks. Without knowing this, I asked for mango chunks and was met with a "we're out of mango chunks. Can you pick something else?" They were out of several other ... toppings (which I didn't care too much about), but finally landed on a jelly and a popping boba (one topping for each drink). When checking out, I was surprised to see that a charge for the topping was included. I pointed to the sign and asked for clarification. I further asked why they don't change the sign to say 'mango chunks included' instead of 'topping included' as this is confusing. The response was, "we've been told to do it this way. Its the responsibility of the customer to review the price before paying." Fair enough, but the sign is incredibly misleading. "We've been told to do it this way." You've been told to intentionally mislead customers? No apology given. Nothing. I get my drink and guess what's in it? I ordered a mango tango smoothie and received a very liquidy juice- the tapioca is supposed to be at bottom this was on the top Not happy, also tastes awful!

I ordered a mango slush with tapioca and a sugarcane juice. The sugarcane juice was fine but the tapioca in the slush was not fresh because it was hard. I went back to the shop to show them the FULL slush. The man at the counter said that it can't ... be because he just made it in the morning. He went to take some tapioca from the pot to put a handful in his hands and into his mouth and said it's fine and washed his hands. I insisted it's not fresh and was told if I want another drink I need to pay half of the prize. I left the drink at the counter. Terrible customer service if there was any at all. Stay away from this "freshly squeeze" at Markville Mall. Read more
