I visited while waiting to get my driver's license and health card renewed and was glad I did. I had the chicken parmesan sandwich and shared it with my 11 yo when I got home. Now, every time we are in the area he reminds me that I ... promised to take him there. Friendly staff, fast service, great food. I highly recommend it! As a matter of fact, if you are waiting for your turn at Service Ontario, take your number and head 4 doors down to Calabria! You will be happy you did. Read more
Came here on Wednesday around 2pm for a late lunch. I ordered meatballs, vegetables and potatoes. The meatballs were tasty and not dried out. The potatoes were seasoned well and the vegetables were a bit watery and tasteless. I'm taking a star away because of the service. The customer in front of ... me was taking forever with her order. Lots of questions about the food, portions and bread. There was only person at the counter to serve customers while there was another employee in the back talking on a landline. The customer took well over 8 minutes to decide what she wanted and to pay, and there was a line up of customers. Read more
Cute and comfy easy to locate store. It was a weekday afternoon visit just passing time while waiting for my number to be called at the Service Ontario store. The store itself has a comfortable ambiance but not a whole lot of pastries selections. I ordered a house ... coffee and some Nutella pastries, they looked real appealing!! The price was decent for the coffee. The croissants and the donuts were $3.00 each. I like the fact that fresh bread and food could be purchased on the spot. Read more
This is really a tough one for me. I used to frequent their other location a few years back and was absolutely obsessed with the lasagna and of course it didn’t disappoint but I wanted to try something else on the menu as well to give a proper review and ... in retrospect I definitely should have ordered more. I’ll start with the good; evidently the lasagna is what I came for and did not dissapoint, it’s just as good as I remember it. Moving on to the cons, I must say I was rather dissatisfied with the pizza, it was very doughy however the dough was really good so they earned some bonus points there. Where they lost me is the lack of tomato sauce. Now, this could be personal preference so I didn’t let it reflect the rating too much but I feel as though they could have been more generous with the amount of tomato sauce used. As far as the service goes, I had read some reviews stating that the staff weren’t too friendly and I can honestly say those reviews were wrong. The staff were kind and friendly. To wrap it up, I would definitely come back for the lasagne, I would likely stay away from the pizza but I’d definitely want to try some of the other food they offer. I liked that the overall feel of the place was that it’s a small family run business. Read more
Got the mobster sandwich. Wouldn't make one on the spot, only had one pre-made. Sandwich, it was very hard like it had been sitting out since the day before. All gourmet sandwiches should be made fresh on the spot, especially for the price.
