First the customer service was fantastic! Jonel was wonderful explaining the menu and options . The ribs ! We'll definitely in the top of any charts , York region , GTA, Markham . I got the Monday special with the full rack of ribs, 1lbs wings, and fries. The ribs were quite dry unfortunately but the sauce was quite nice so it helped get that down. The wings were great as they were very juicy but I do have to say that the ... sauce needs to be a more even coating as some of them are half sauced. The fries are very similar to Costco fries as they have the same flavour and coating. Overall i would recommend coming here to try as maybe the morning batch wasn’t as good. Did takeout of the family combo with poutine & smoked brisket. Food was good but not amazing. Probably wont go back. I think the meat needed a bit more cooking time. Was not fall off the bone kind of tender.

Go ahead and google "Markham BBQ Ribs" or "best ribs in Markham", there aren't a lot of options. There's Big Bone BBQ and then all the standard box stores like Montana's, Pickle Barrel, St. Louis Wings, etc. Big Bone is the only dedicated ribs place you can find ... in Markham. So is it a little overpriced? Definitely. Is the service just so-so? Yes it is. Are the ribs good? Yes the ribs are good. They're very good, close to the level that you'll find a Ribs Festival. That is what you're getting if you go to Big Bone BBQ, it's good ribs and basically not much else. I give Big Bone a good rating because they have good ribs. Don't write a bad review about their chicken. Don't complain about their Costco fries, or the dry corn bread, or the uninspired beans that taste like they came straight out of a can. Who cares? The ribs are GREAT! They're delicious, they're smoked, they're fall-off-the-bone. The sauce they give you, tastes good. I would buy a jar of it. Is it a store bought sauce? Possibly, but it's good. Wings are also pretty good. Some places have wings with barely any meat on them. Not Big Bone! Good wings, good flavor, lots of meat. The Caesar salad is generous. I recommend getting it if you order a lot of ribs. Your stomach and intestines will thank you later. If you buy a party pack or platter, make sure you eat the beans. You're gonna need the fiber. The staff is fine, they are getting the job done. This is not a trained wait staff looking for tips. They are just getting their job done and letting the ribs speak for themselves.
