Ricky’s All Day Grill - Lockport, Manitoba

BEWARE! Ricky's is not the same as it used to be :( I've ate here many times, but last nights experience was bad enough for me to never come back! We ordered a chicken burger, the patty was the size of a small chicken finger.. we also got a veggie ... burger that was extremely undercooked, genuinely doubt it was on the grill longer than a minute. Myself and my wife went for diner she had the battered fish with mushroom soup and I had a Philly cheese sandwich with fries first you usually serve the soup before the meal not with it so that was odd and as for the Philly cheese sandwich was horrible soggy ... the dipping sauce was bland and the fries look like they where left over from a bag of curly fries they were all little pieces.So with a drink And a coffee for the two of us was $62.00 and we will never go back.My daughter warned us that they had it a few weeks earlier and it was bad we should have listened. Really a shame I have to edit my review for this restaurant. The sewage smell has been getting increasingly worse and the last time we dined there it was impossible to ignore and upsetting to the stomach. I have really enjoyed the food here and have been many times with ... my family of five as they are very kid friendly, as well as with my spouse, friends and other family members. The last straw for me was the last visit where when we entered we were very upset to learn that they had not taken care of the sewage smell and had actually gotten stronger, but we waited at the front area to be seated for 15 minutes and no one ever came to the front. We turned around and left without anyone working here knowing of our presence. Waiting for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant for someone to even come around to see you there...so disappointing, I used to really enjoy this place! Read more

Haven’t been in a year or so. So we tried it again. Needless to say it has changed, what was a good restaurant is not anymore. Restaurant itself is cold, and has bathroom odour drafting through the establishment. Food was mid at the most, $70 for two, with the quality and consistency ... of hospital food. Turkey dinner looked reheated, might as well been on a tray, vegetables were burnt, with what I’m guessing was a torch. My fish and shrimps were missing fries, when I inquired about the missing item, was told fries were only an appetizer, the menu picture was misleading, with the fries directly on the plate, next to the oil infused fish, and crispy little shirmpies. Great place to take kids. Fun games and colouring for them. plus they get to pick a toy when they leave. Food is a little over priced for what you get.
