Lovely restaurant. Total scratch kitchen. Best omelette I've had.

Had a Bannock cheese burger. Very nicely seasoned and the Bannock bun held together, which is not typical at many places. My kid had the wings. Perfect portion and crispy. Mom had a Denver omelet with jabbering bacon and toast. She polished it off so quickly. Great coffee. But the fries?? OMG - THE ... FRIES WERE SOO GOOOOD. Finally a restaurant that serves aboriginal foods . The owner is a very professional,friendly and who is a positive role model of hard work and who can relate to the First Nation costumers. All nations are welcome and treated like family . The atmosphere is so calm and feels like ... walking into your own home and the chef is very respectful and knows proper etiquette and food safety. Very clean and sanitization is key to the staff . The owner bakes all the tasty bannock for the meals and fried bread for the tacos . I highly recommend hurbos restaurant. I am a very picky person when it comes to deciding where to eat and feel comfortable and I have to give Hurbos my recommendation 100%. I am from a First Nation community which is 2 hours away and will always spend my money where I know I would get a good meal. I will always support aboriginal owned businesses who work hard to successfully make their mark in the economy. Read more

Good gravy and great portions. I left very satisfied.

I've only tried the bacon burger and bannock burger so far; both dishes were amazing! The burger patty is so tasty. The delicious fries remind me of the food truck fries in Kenora. The gravy is loaded with flavour. Hambo's Restaurant is officially my go-to burger joint. I haven't tried ... their fried bologna yet, but it looks fantastic. You certainly won't leave hungry.
