Sushi Shop Sainte-Dorothée - Laval, Quebec

This is absolute worst sushi shop around. Their customer service is extremely poor. Anytime you ask for a substitution or to take 1 ingredient out they make the biggest deal about it. I am pregnant and had asked them to make the rolls pregnancy safe, and since they offer a ... mom to be combo, this should be a reasonable and doable ask. However they always make comments and say they can’t do it or tell me it will be so much longer. Does this mean they aren’t even making the pregnant mom combo safe for pregnancy ?! The only measures that need to be taken are to make sure the gloves and knives are changed after touching the raw fish. So that the safe rolls are not contaminated. This surely can’t be that hard and surely can’t be an extra 20 minute ordeal. In addition, I asked for soya paper, which is offered for $1 extra per roll, that I am happy to pay for. They say ok and every single time I show up they say they forgot and ask me to take it with seaweed anyways. This time I refused as it was their error since I made sure to mention it twice on the phone. Not only did they make me wait an extra 30 minutes but they constantly gave me bad looks in the store as they were making the new rolls. And didn’t do anything to compensate me for waisting my time, like couldn’t even throw in an extra soy sauce ! It’s absolutely ridiculous and I will never ever order from here again. They purposely didn’t make it with soya paper because they were too lazy to make the fresh rolls and just pulled out already made rolls with seaweed. I had a delicious Salmon Poke Bowl and fried shrimp balls.

Ordered poke bowl last week and this is what i got. Avoid this franchise. Looks like this is their standard. What a good franchise 😂😂

Have no idea how they got 4 stars 120 reviews !!! Worst sushi ever . Not sure how their doors are open and people who never had sushi will give these places 3 or 4 stars . A pinch of crab in a giant roll with tempura . Has zero ... taste and sushi rice are had as if been sitting for a while . I can’t believe such a place exist in Montreal with all this competition. I came to this place more than one time, it was never the best place, but today was incredibly bad, the salmon was old (not fresh) and I asked the raw and they gave me the smoked. I had to screen using my mask since the cashier was not paying ... attention on my order. Very bad service and food! Read more
