Restaurant Saverio - Laval, Quebec

I just came back from an excellent evening. I have not been well served like that in quite some time.I went there for a b-day party for my brother in law. I had not eaten lunch and was very hungry. The lady who served me first said i looked ... hungry and brought me some bread right away. I also asked if they had some different appetizers available that i can order and share with my table and a server called Mike came back with an assortment of choices for me and i ended up ordering 4 appetizers from his recommendations to share with my family. They were quite good ( especially the escargo and smoked salmon). All evening i was waited on very well. Not impressed I recently went as part of a group that had a menu set out. The 30$ pasta, being the cheapest item on the menu, along with the following meals just did not call my name. I asked the waiter if it would be possible to order a pizza instead. ... He said it would have to be charged as the same price as the cheapest item on the set group menu (30$). Thinking that the pizza was in the same price range, I agreed. (FYI, the pizza is actually 18$, so I was forced to pay an extra 12$ just for being part of a group.) Pizza looked like a frozen pizza. Absolutely nothing special. Had a hard time cutting it, dough was hard. Had to end up eating it with my hands in a "fancy" restaurant. Very salty. My friend ordered the linguine Gigi, and found it was very salty as well. We also had 1 waiter for about 40 people in our party. Received our (instant) coffee well after finishing our cake. Had my daughters baby shower hosted at Saverio in September 15, 2018 and I cannot praise the restaurant enough, the service was second to none and the food was over the top delicious. Nick, Kathy and Mike and the team were so very attentive and made sure that the ... guests were always looked after and wanting for nothing. Just wanted to commend the staff for the great party I hosted there for my husband ‘s birthday. The food and service were excellent. Everyone enjoyed everything and had a great time! Exactly how I had envisioned a surprise birthday to go! Great food, wine and dancing! Thanks to all!

Food was ok but having the air conditioning not working in 25 degree weather with lots of people made experience not as enjoyable
