Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill - Laval, Quebec

We've been there a couple of times. Pretty good music and ambiance. The drinks are always good. The service needs to upgrade a little bit more. The server never brought us water (even tho we asked her 2 times). We waited too long (15-20 min) just for 2 drinks and ... it wasn't even busy. My second drink looked like they took the same cup I used before without washing it! The food was cold when we we served after waiting for 35-40 min. The grilled cajun salmon was so small and thin I barely took 4 bites out of it and I still payed 30$! We asked to grill the steak RARE (50$) just to get it MEDIUM WELL done and cold fries. Wow. We told our waitress about it but we only got a 6$ out of our 200$ bill. The quality of food really lowered these past months unfortunately and the service too. I went to Jack Astor's to celebrate with coworkers. The ambiance is really a bar ambiance with all the tvs on sports channels and loud music. We were seated at a tall table since we were over 20 people. I'm a short person. When I sat down, the table reached ... to my chest. After spending a couple of hours at the Cosmodome, we decided to go for a late lunch/early dinner. This looked like it would fit the bill and it certainly did. Very friendly service and top notch food and drinks! Loved the chicken fingers! Delicious!

Saturday night and feeling alright! Went to Jack’s to celebrate a birthday- even though it was busy, we got seated pretty quickly. Came here an hour before closing time and the food was still as fresh! The service was super friendly and our waitress helped us make the best choice! There are options for everyone! Everything we had was tasty and enjoyable, I'd go again!
