I'm always open to new options when it comes to different types of cuisine Laval gets to offer. As of late, I've been on an Afghan binge and I licked my chops hoping to experience something great coming to a new resto that opened a few months back called 'Maison ... Sheed' located in Chomedy. We didn't know what to expect being the only patrons in this resto during the lunch hour of a Thursday afternoon but the staff was very welcoming and helpful in our novice selections. I went with their Filet Mignon option which came with a generous portion of side rice and salad. The accompany my food, I chose their Dough (a yogurt cucumber-mind beverage) as my drink of choice. My overall impressions : - The dough was very good and made fresh on the spot. I really enjoyed it! - The Filet Mignon was good but I feel there should have been more bang for your buck (such as a 2nd stick), I'm sure other plates are possibly more filled out but all I'm saying is... I LOVE MY MEAT. GIVE ME MEEEEAT. - The rice was delicious and the portion was generous. - I found the salad dressing too sour, it overwhelmed my taste palette. Overall, this place is a solid place to dine, I'd like to go back one day with friends and order a bunch of plates and share and tastes the variety the chef can offer to his or her patrons. Read more
