Reviews for Akedo Showten Ramen + Gyoza in Langley, British Columbia
Highly recommend ! This little ramen place is a gem! We found it by chance and had zero regrets. The food was so good and the service super nice and quick.
Ramen and chicken Kara-age are my favourite combination. Had them at Akedo Showten in Langley. Chicken chashu under the pork chashu is amazing, cannot believe the chicken is made very soft.
Limited menu items mean you get quality over quantity. This place is somewhat small for a ramen joint, so getting a table for 2 is usually not that bad. We came on a Saturday late afternoon at around 2:30 pm or so and had to wait for about ~15-20 mins. ... But if you come with larger than group of 4, I'd say it'll be a challenge to get seats cuz of how small the place is Don't forget to get the gyoza with your ramen! The pan-fried kind of course! Theirs is some of the best, albeit more one the smaller size. They have another location in New Wesminstee as well called AKD Kitchen and you can use the same stamp card at both locations. Read more
Tastes good, the ingredients are a bit different than the regular ramen. 1. Soup base: rich chicken base soup (claimed to be no MSG) with 3 flavor options: white (original), black (with black sesame oil, red (with miso). 2. Noodles: fine noodles, medium in firmness. 3. Toppings: Chinese yu choy (unusual choice), green ... onion, chicken/pork chasiu well flavored. 4. Marinated soft-boiled egg: cooked to the right degree of doneness with rich flavor. Well done! Best part I like about their ramen. 5. Gyoza: decent, smaller than regular size, nothing special. Overall pretty decent. Service pretty good. Small space with intimate setting, not the place if you're looking for good atmosphere. Usually busy with waiting time to be seated. Plenty of parking in the little plaza. Read more
Literally the best ramen place in town, we drove from abbotsford to drive it as we don’t have any ramen in town. This place was filled with a long wait list, it took us about 30 minutes to get through the line. Understandingly so. The food did not take as ... long, you can see the staff making fresh dumplings amongst few other things. Its a restaurant with limited seating. Maybe less than 20? But it was filled consistently. We tried the pork, chicken and vegetarian ramen. They were all super flavourful and tasty. The noodles were of good quality, so was the soup base. Restaurant allows you to add noodles at a small price. The customer service was great as well. Would definitely come back again🤍 Read more
