Umami Sushi - Langley, British Columbia

This is an excellent place to enjoy Japanese cuisine. We have been coming here a couple times as a family and we enjoyed our experiences. The servers were welcoming and delightful, offering us the menu and drinks promptly. There are a variety of options to choice from on the menu, ... from sushi rolls and appetizers to combos and lunch/dinner boxes. The seating were comfortable and includes many walled, rectangular enclosed spaces. The food came out fresh and in generous quantity while maintaining quality in a timely manner. For the proportion we get and the freshness, the overall price is reasonable. The atmosphere is calm, soothing and laid-back. There is no overpowering music and no loud ambiance. The washrooms are generally clean and functional. After paying, we got little natural fruit candies. I highly suggest giving this place a try if you crave sushi in the Williowbrook area. Read more

Thought I would try a different sushi place since my regular wasn’t open. Decided to give umami a try. Made a 60$ order and forgot to add some spicy mayo. Called the restaurant to see if they could toss one in, they wouldn’t do it said it costs 25c for ... one…. Ridiculous. Food arrives. Tasted lousy and not fresh. Honestly, as someone who works in this plaza and spends more money than I’d like on takeout food, this place is a winner. Their prices are better than most of the other options, the food is prepared fresh to order, the ladies there are SO nice. I often don’t ... spend more than $15 for a complete meal. Ordered off skip. Sushi tasted expired smelled weird felt weird. I love eating sushi but this was ungodly bad. Not sure if i got the left overs or expired sushi but i couldnt eat it.

Been here a few times but just never got around to writing a review. But it’s a consistently good little sushi 🍣 spot in Langley with ample partying and decent pricing and well located. Service and quality is consistently good. They have lots of those nice little booth tables and ... private seating. Washrooms are always clean. Not much atmosphere per say as no music or anything playing. Just about coming eating and moving on. Not that linger longer type of spot. But definitely a great recommendation as you can always be sure about food and service. Enjoy. Read more
