Customer service is great fast and helpful food was poor not very good at all cold coming out got my food replaced it was something just made with cheese potatoes were not cooked not happy

There's something wrong with the service here. When we were shown to our table, no one handed us the menu. Few minutes had passed and still no menu. We had to get it ourselves. Seconds later, a server came, wondering if we were ready to order. (We would have been ... ready if we had the menu earlier.) It would be understandable if the place was busy. Good spot. Fabulous food! Only downfall was the service, very slow. And only 3 customers for 2 waitresses. That is why I didn't give the 5th star.

Food is decent, the service varies from day to day. It's typically pretty slow there so the service sometimes matches the pace of the restaurant. A few of the servers are new and seem to still be learning but put in good effort. The chicken strips are good and the ... fries are usually hot and crispy. Came up for an overnighter for a family "obligation" which would explain WHY we are in this part of town; not your typical Vancouver area hot spot. Got up on Sunday morning and was Jonesing for a "traditional" (verge of ethnocentrism) eggs and bacon breakfast/brunch....well good luck with that. So we finally ... decided to settle on Rick's and am now glad we did. After calling prior to arrival to scope out the menu, upon arrival I found out they push their buffet items.... Big mistake. I asked the guy on the phone if they had omlets and he actually said "no" but they have scrambled options. Well... Oops, they have several omlets and other fare we were desiring.
