Sushi Harbour Japanese Restaurant Ltd. - Langford, British Columbia

I explored the reviews given before I tried this restaurant, and they are correct about the decently friendly staff. As an obsessive Japanese cuisine customer, I found the food itself well below mass-consumer average, and worse than your grocery store sushi. Their tea was quite pleasant, along with their miso ... soup, but that was it. The sushi is incredibly sloppy (literally fell apart when I picked it up), not that flavourful, and the tempura vegetables were slightly burnt. To top off my 1 Star Review, I also had excruciating stomach pains after leaving the restaurant, and spent most of my evening in the bathroom. The rolls were tasty and the service was good. The beef was very tough and overdone and I suspect the oil wasn't hot enough for the tempura as it was very greasy. Overall an average place that could use some reworking on the pricing as you can get far better ... food for less cost at a number of places in the area. This might have been the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Small rolls, sloppily presented. Rice seemed hard, avocado was mushy, fish portions small. The restaurant is tired looking as well. For the same price I’ve had far superior sushi in both Vancouver and Toronto. I will say the yam tempura was ... very good, so that’s why I gave this a two star rating and not just one. Read more

Loved the service, lots of smiles and the food arrived fast. Was a great meal to warm myself and my partner on a cold, rainy day with hearty portions at a good price. Absolutely never grabbing fast food in Langford again when this is so much more pleasant and far ... more filling. Read more

The Langford location is the only place I go for sushi! I will go out of my way to come here. The fish is always fresh (I frequently order scallops and there's nothing worse than old scallops), the service is great, and the chefs are super quick. I recommend it ... every time! Read more
