Great food. Kyler is a stud. We were mountain biking beforehand. He not only cooked us up great meals. He took my girlfriend round the back for a knee trembler while the food was cooking.
Cuban sandwich, beer brat dog, Mac Lorraine. All a 10/10. Guaranteed stop when passing by Sooke or taking friends around the island. Location is perfect, nice seating. Stop here for lunch and then grab a beer at SOB next door.
SOB for a flight tasting and a burger. The beer was tasty, refreshing and delicious as always. Now for the burger. For a whopping $15 I got a bland burger with a bit of melted cheese and lettuce. No sides.
I stopped in today on a ride out on the Goose. My primary stop was for Sooke Oceanside Brewery but I was also hungry. I tried the Cowtowner burger. The burger itself tasted alright, but definitely not worth the $18 price tag (only the burger, no sides) I would much ... rather spend the extra $2-4 for a Bin4 burger…No comparison. We were looking for a dog-friendly place after doing a couple of hikes, and this didn't disappoint. We ordered beers from SOB and Elotes with roja chicken from Grilled. The chicken was slow-cooked, tender, and flavorful, and the greens were fresh. It was just what we needed.
