Oscar’s Family Restaurant - Kitchener, Ontario

I found Oscar’s service to be really friendly and helpful and the food is good, not mind blowing but good. I do have issue with their wheelchair accessibility. They only have two designated parking spots which were filled when we ate there. They have lots of parking spots so ... designating a couple more would be useful. The ramp going up to the door is very narrow and steep. The brick pathway is a big mess with missing and uneven bricks. There are no automatic doors at the front entrance and a lip on the floor that was difficult to manoeuvre around. I had my fathers who is in a wheelchair so I could solve these issues for him but a solo wheelchair customer would definitely struggle. The washrooms are also not super accessible, again with no automatic doors function. I won’t be returning to Oscars with my father because of these issues. It’s 2024, I would have hoped accessibility would be better by this point. Read more

DONT get a Breakfast to .." pick up" ....Two days in a row...Everthing was COLD...took right from waitress at front door....went to the back grass area...3 min/ tops to eat. Eggs, potatoes, and bacon.And the toast! ALL Cold! Very Dissapointing! Never trust a Take Out order there again! ( same deal...two days ... in a row???) Read more

Just a nice, clean, old-fashioned diner with a big menu for big appetites. Friendly people and hearty food!

Great place for traditional breakfast foods! Pricing is average in comparison to other breakfast/brunch places, average of $15 per plate. Atmosphere is also normal. Not too fancy but also not super informal. Just normal. Good amount of food per dish, and everything was served quickly and came out hot. Wait staff ... were really attentive and helpful. We got the northern lights breakfast, the ham Benny, and the meat lovers skillet. All were very tasty. They have a daily specials list with a lot of items on it which I found to be awesome. I loved everything about my lunch here today. The service was prompt, friendly and accurate. They were able to swap the pea meal bacon with regular on my eggs Benedict. The shredded potatoes were well cooked and flavourful; not over sauced. The fruit bowl was fresh with melon, ... cantaloupe, strawberries and pineapple. Read more
