Wimpy’s Diner - Kitchener, Ontario

I love the staff and the vibes here just not the food. They put gravy on everything and too much of it. I'm a gravy girl but I was shook and disappointed with the taste. I think this place is more for older folks.

I ordered roast beef dip and it came with coleslaw and fries. It was a huge plate for the sandwich with the fries and coleslaw and the dipping sauce was so hot it almost burnt my mouth. The waiters was very pleasant and efficient but seemed to rush. I was ... very happy with the taste and pressintation of the food and was far more than I could ever eat so I got take out tray and packed it up and took it home for my son but he has already eat. It was a bit pricey but everything is too expensive now days. Over all.. I would recommend it to anyone look for a good qualified and quantity meal. I came here for some late breakfast and I was very disappointed with my meal. I ordered 3 thick French toast with strawberries and I was (and still am) completely mortified with what I was served. The strawberries were not fresh, they were served from frozen. The strawberries were cold, ... mushy and watery. The strawberries were so horrible they ruined the French toast. We went for dinner on a weekday and they had all breakfast items. Loved the retro decor and food was great!

This location is fantastic. The food was delicious, and the poached eggs on the Southwestern Benidict were properly poached. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented perfectly.
