Moose Winooski’s - Kitchener, Ontario

I haven't been there in years. It was nice to be back and sit on the patio for a night out. I ordered the lettuce wraps and was hugely disappointed. It was tasty, but I didn't like the 'do it yourself' part of it with the lettuce pile on the ... side (not captured in pic). When I tried to wrap it, it all fell apart. I cut a couple of pieces onto the meal. The rest was thrown out. But the MOST disappointing part of it was the chicken portion. There were 2 tiny half bite size pieces of chicken. I did NOT order the vegan option. I am on a protein and veggie based diet. When I mentioned it to the server, he apologized and said he would bring out more chicken, which I was happy about. Then, after he spoke with the manager, he came back and advised it was cost an extra 3.99. I don't think so, to pay extra for something that should have been there in the first place. For thar price, I expect a chicken breast or even half of one would have been more reasonable. They took one chicken breast and likely spread it amongst 20 meals, ridiculous. Plus, the manager didn't even come out to address the issue. He spoke to the server a few feet away from the table. Not the best resolution or handling of the complaint. Amazing sports bar but great for the whole family. Always busy and always a great time. TVs everywhere, great decor and the nachos are on another level. Go inside, order the nachos and eat them while looking at the menu. For dessert get the kitchen sink and then go home ... to sleep because you aren't doing anything after eating this. Read more

Had an amazing experience in dining at moose. They have all the basic dishes sandwiches, burgers, salads, pasta and many more to soothe the taste buds. I ordered chicken wings (4/5) they were spicy and yummy. Second dish was pasta (3.5/5) which was extremely good but lacked in flavours. The ... drink was raspberry lemonade (3.5/5) it was good however tasted bitter they shoud add the sweetness inside it rather than on the rim of the glass. The service is excellent. Moose Winooski's is a favourite family restaurant for us. They have an extensive plant-based (vegan) menu section as well as a gluten free menu available. Their plant-based Caesar salad is my absolute favourite. I also quite enjoy the fish tacos, plant-based nachos and plant-based cinnamon rolls that ... come hot in a cast-iron skillet, absolutely delicious! My children love the atmosphere and nature inspired outdoor/camping theme here. They have a large birthday wheel to spin on your birthday. We came for both my husband and my birthdays and the kids got to put a pie in our faces! We have always had wonderful service. There is a large bar area with countless TV's to watch all of your favourite sporting events and a large patio area in the warmer months. Read more
