Smile Tiger is right beside the Kitchener rail station. The parking is a tight but you can walk from the train! The building was a banana warehouse previously. It’s old feeling, but comfortable. There’s exposed steel beams and wooden floors that are worn and homey. Mostly, there’s coffee. They roast beans themselves. ... The ones I have tried are bold , smooth and not overly bitter. They have some baked goods and Texas toast with a layer of ricotta cheese. I don’t go for the baked goods as much as the coffee and atmosphere. Read more

While the atmosphere is very pleasant I was disappointed by the food. My hot chocolate was a good temperature and had nice presentation, for the reasonable price of around 3.50. My breakfast sandwich however was terrible. They come prewrapped and very clearly are thrown in a microwave or something similar ... to heat up when needed. While I understand the ease of service, at least make sure quality is still up to par. At first glance the cheese on my sandwich looked weird enough that I could barely tell whether it was cheese or some other kind of meet. Something I’m sure is from sitting in its packaging for who knows how long. Biting into the sandwich was worse. I was met with a slightly warm outside and a blatantly cold inside. I’m sure someone out there enjoys cold breakfast sandwiches but I personally don’t. What makes things worse is the sandwich was 6$ worth of disappointment. As someone who just moved very close to this coffee shop I was really looking forward to becoming a regular. Unfortunately I can say I’d much rather make a longer journey to somewhere else. Lovely study space with cute decor! Lemon Oat square was good but the Chocolate Salted Caramel Latte didn’t taste like chocolate or salted caramel; just regular latte. Parking situation was difficult because there are like 10 spots and they are either max 15 min or 1 hour limits. Not good for ... people here to study for a while. Read more

The space is adorable! 2-3 couches on the main floor, plus a long working table (8-10 people can sit at), a table by the windows and small couple tables along a wall ( ~5) so whatever type of group you’re visiting with, should be accommodated! I saw a knitting group ... use the work table as a community event (make sure you buy something too!). I wish there was more variety in the drinks and food/baked items but it satisfies the seasonal urge absolutely!! The decadent chocolate muffin was very moist ($5), kindly ask for it to be heated! The staff was so lovely and I’ve tried their coffee beans - great gift option. Read more
