Very traditional sushi - the fish was perfectly room temperature with the barest hint of wasabi and perfect tangy-sweet sushi rice. **** 4.5 ***** Review written in real time... So far so good.  I walked in here expecting "decent".  I had first ordered a bottle of sake but the one I ordered was not in stock.  Instead my host brought me an alternative bottle to the table to see if it was an ... acceptable replacement. +1 right there.  For those interested it was an excellent choice. When time came to order food I mentioned I was hungry and presented the staff with a question which was answered reasonably.  The best part was that my host brought me an amouse-bouche to date my appetite.  +1 for recognizing a customer's unspoken desires. Not long later I was brought my meal.  I ordered a sushi/sashimi platter (28 piece).  A fair variety of standard fare, and portioned out very well.  No cheap cuts here. Everything tastes great and fresh. I've reached the end of my meal and I am perfectly satisfied.  Ive got nothing left that I want.  What I could have had was possibly some more exotic variety in the sushi and sashimi that was chosen as my meal but there's nothing wrong with standard fare if you don't ask for anything else.  +1 for nailing the basics. Customer service was simply great.  Friendly and helpful. Everything was brought in a timely manner. What is there more to say? +1. Very nice staff, very delicious food. I had the Sushi / Sashimi mix platter and was not disappointed. The food was fresh and carefully crafted. This is not "all you can eat", but that is a good thing if you want higher attention to detail and higher quality fish.

Brilliant Japanese place. Small, intimate setting. The food was so fresh and the service was friendly. What a treat, it really stands out in the "all-you-can-eat" world of Hamilton. We had small starters (my hubby even ate tofu and liked it!), sushi and a rice bowl, with cheesecake and green tea ... ice cream as a treat. Just fantastic. Read more
