The Bean Bar - Hamilton, Ontario

This restaurant is very unique and has a good atmosphere. I ordered a steak and my wife ordered a salmon. The food was excellent. I like it very much. I will recommend it to my friends. Thank you for the recommendation from the boss Wing.

Very disappointed at what has happened to this restaurant. This used to be a fantastic spot with excellent food, but it seems new owners have taken over and to say it has gone downhill is an understatement. Absolutely nothing about our experience here was good. Service was appalling- extremely slow, ... and literally not one thing was correct. Bills took forever to sort out as we were charged for multiple items we did not order. Costs have clearly been cut with the food and it is now on par with a fast food restaurant (at best). Will be surprised if this restaurant survives another few months if it stays like this, sad considering it has been around for 20+ years. Read more

Not sure what has happened to this place but it is now very rundown and tired looking. Lunched there and given “special menu” of which none of the sauces/meat was available. Had a tasty hummus avocado sandwich but for 24$, find a cleaner and better ambiance restaurant to eat at. ... 🤷‍♀️ Read more

Excellent service! Our server was friendly and accommodating, definitely highlighted the experience. Prices are a bit high, but you’re paying for good food here!! Nachos are like none you’ve had before, trust me they’re great. Pickled jalapeño and all the best things on one platter. Turkey burger was a bit ... dry but it had all the right flavours, even the salad accompanying it was amazing. One of the best beef burgers you can get too, such a great meal! Great dining and atmosphere, decently short wait although we went at around 12:30pm. The mural in the place is really pretty and we liked the jazz piano music. One star off because of the prices.. quite expensive for students! I think the sandwiches are probably the best value because they ... come with a side. We got the “to die for” sandwich which is a beef and onion grilled cheese with a thick, thick gravy dip. It was really good! And the salad was pretty good too although could have used more dressing?
