Both my wife and I are street food buffs. It was this mouth watering smell of exotic cooking that led us to a food stand at the Bayfront Park. We gravitate towards exotic food like bees gravitate towards flowers :) They had some music event and Dosha Corner participated ... with their food stand. Since we already had our dinner we decided to visit their restaurant on Main Street later sometime. We finally got a chance to try their food yesterday evening. I must say their Masala Dosa's were very delicious and indeed very authentic. The last time I had masala dosa was in some fancy restaurant in Toronto; that was good but here this was beyond good! The real experience of eating dosas is on the streets; just like in India. Dosha Corner is a 'hole in a wall' kind of a tiny restaurant with a capacity of only 8 people; hence their main business, not surprisingly, is from takeout clientele. Masala Dosas should be eaten right there, hot from the pan, as it loses its crispiness pretty quickly. I ordered Chicken Keema dosa and my wife went with the vegetarian dosa. We mixed and matched to satisfy our taste buds. Hamilton has recently been going through a transformation in its culinary scene; dosha corner is a welcome addition to the eclectic mix of ethnically inspired food options! Read more
I unfortunately do not like to give bad reviews to small businesses but when the food isn't right its better for the public to know. I got the chicken and rice combo and in all honesty the rice was horrible. There was no taste to it and it was full of ... condiments that made it almost impossible to eat. (Like leaves and so on) Others might have a different taste so perhaps they will like it but it wasnt for me. Read more
I really like the dosa here. The atmosphere isn't much to talk about and I think there is a bigger take-out than sit-in business, but its worth sitting in the small storefront for a fresh dosa. This is a simple and straightforward shop. No bells and whistles. The ... prices are reasonable. Read more
It's not perfect, but it's the only place in Hamilton where you can get a hot dosa. I don't know why the masala potato has so much fennel (it's sweet enough that it masks the other spices). Otherwise, if you're feeling nostalgic about some South Indian food, this place saves ... you a trip to Mississauga. Read more

The dosa, sambar, and chutney just weren't good. Plain and simple. First the good : He said he makes his chutney fresh daily. And the dosa was freshly made and the shell was ok tasting. Service was friendly. The idli was ok. Now the not so good: the sambar was made from a ... yellow Dall and had no flavor. anybody whose had sambar knows it's made from red toor Dall and with sambar spices. It lacked all flavor or sambar spices. The potato curry in the dosa was sparse and very dry. Felt like it was old and reheated. The coconut chutney lacked flavor and had not been given a "ghee tarka" with poppy seeds or Curry leaves. Thats Really basic stuff that's missing from the taste. I appreciate the small restaurant is working hard to make ends meet but the food just isn't up to snuff. Two stars for cooking my food fresh and friendly service. Three stars are reserved for the food which I just can't give. Probably the least flavorful dosa I've ever had, sorry to say. Read more
