Harry’s Fish and Chips - Hamilton, Ontario

Best fish and chips. The batter was dry (not dripping in oil) and crispy- not oily at all. The onion rings were the same- crispy and delicious. I usually dislike restaurant fish and chips because it can be so greasy and the batter can be gluey. Harry's was really fantastic.

What a great restaurant! The service was awesome. Dee, owner, came out and asked how everything was, the fish was cooked to perfection. Light batter, fresh taste. I got 2 large portions of haddock... I was excited to have fish & chips on Good Friday. When I arrived, there was a huge line and I decided to invest my time thinking it was going be worth the wait. Boy I was wrong…. 2 hours in total to receive gross, soggy fish that fell apart. The ... batter crumbled apart, and my fries were soaked in fish and grease. The other thing I noticed was the owner was very rude and unprofessional to his staff that were clearly understaffed for such a big day. Only thing I enjoyed was the company around me. First time eating here and I had the Haddock and chips. The batter is light and crispy and not greasy at all. The portion size is very good. You also get a stamp card so after 10 meals you get 1 free.

The newly owned Harry’s Fish and Chips: really good fish and chips! Crispy and light batter. We had the haddock and chips and the halibut and onion rings and a small coleslaw. It’s a big helping and we had leftover fries which is awesome the next ... day in the airfare for 5min at 350 degrees 🙌🏾. We found the staff and owner are very friendly, attentive which makes the visit more enjoyable. Lots of seating, clean establishment. Read more
