Great location, lots of parking, dandy service. After giving this place 3 tries, on each occasion one or more items we ordered were either over salted, cold, under cooked or burnt. I had to go and look for a waitress today after waiting 15 min. to place our order. They were both on their cell phones. She knew it was my daughters birthday and still charged for her birthday dessert. Very unacceptable. That has never happened before. A friend and I had a great time reconnecting over a meal and a beer at Ye Olde Squire. The food was great: I had bangers and mash, and my friend had chicken curry. Service is decent. If you order fish and chips you get a BIG chunk of fish and it's comforting and delicious. Fries are very tasty as well. Nice, warm, welcoming decor. Good selection of beer on tap. Veggie burger makes you think you ordered ... from the kids menu. About 40 to 50% smaller than the usual pub style veggie burger and by no means is it cheap because it's small. Tastes pretty good though. I recommend it if you don't mind going home hungry. The bill you get is insulting. It belittles you. On it, it suggests you tip at least 18%. If you want to tip 20% or 22% the bill also tells you how much you need to fork out based on your total. I always though tips are given based on quality of food, service and overall experience. Good place for a bite to eat and a beer, very clean inside and nicely decorated, but I ordered the new turkey Avacado club and I suspected the Avacado wasn't fresh, as it had a chemical taste and was rubbery. I asked the waitress who then asked the kitchen and I ... found out the Avacado comes pre sliced and in a liquid to preserve it. I couldn't finish the sandwich, I found that rather gross. Not up to what I thought their standards are. For a 15$ sandwich it should have fresh ingredients.
