Food took forever and was not good. Service and food are usually top notch, but this was brutal. The servers are always friendly, but the food took forever and was not good. Heard they have new owners... how do you take over a restaurant and not know what you're doing?? ... There was a bunch of people in the kitchen but yet food took over an hour to reach the table. Tipped my server well because I felt SO bad for her. Hope this gets resolved. The Works is a cult favourite and it'll be sad to see it go under. Read more

From the many options of burgers, wonderful service and to the aesthetics; this location has it all. Our service was wonderful and always around! Our burgers tasted delicious like every other time we’ve gone and there’s so much to choose from! ** I've amended this review and added an extra start as the manager reached out to me and offered a more equitable compensation for the undercooked burger. The big issue is one of our burgers was undercooked to the point of being dangerous by Canadian health guide food cooking standards. As ... such they gave us 50% off on the one meal. Seemed odd to me that we had to pay for a meal my kid couldn’t safely eat… Please see the bright pink burger in the attached pictures. I was debating going for 2 or 3 stars, but given the offending burger was for my 5 year-old child, I felt 2 was appropriate. We were comped an order of doughnuts which were hot and looked very good, but we were all too full to eat any…so we brought them home. Let it be known, the service was very good and friendly. The server checked on us a lot. The rest of the food was good to very good and properly hot, though I did find my poutine a bit salty for my liking, but it did have bacon on it…so… Anyway, the past two times we’ve been underwhelmed, so I’m not sure we’ll be back any time soon if ever. This used to be our favourite location, but I don't think we'll be back after this visit. The Spicy Die-Cut Chips were overcooked, making them hard and dark. They tasted burnt. I only ate the 3 or 4 that weren't. Most of the cheese on the burger wasn't melted. In fact some ... of it was actually cold in the middle. Very disappointing!
