Harvey’s - Hamilton, Ontario

Came by with my wife to order some dinner and the girl on speaker was impatient as we decided on our order which ended up being $30 for 2 burgers and some onion rings and a shake. The girl who handed the bag to us through the window was miserable looking ... without any words spoken. We checked and noticed no napkins so we said “hello” through the window and nobody came to attend and after approx 3 hello’s I pulled up a bit further so i could see where the staff was and the same girl was standing there doing nothing and says to me “ I’M TAKING AN ORDER” ! She heard us but ignored us for what reason ?? I simply was asking for what a normal customer would ask for when staff “ forgot” do do their job. Another girl shortly after came to the window and looked astonished that we did not have any napkins and grabbed some and while handing them to me respectfully the other girl interrupted her and told her not to give us any !! The girl taking orders and handing the food to us should be fired and the girl who handed us the napkins like a normal employee should get made employee of the month. I’ve never in all my years ever seen such a poor attitude in a restaurant, that young lady has no manners or skill in serving a customer and made us feel that we did not belong as a customer. Zero star for her attitude and sour face, she made us feel like her entitlement and poor service skills were our fault. Based on other reviews also it appears that thats the last visit we will make to Queenston Harveys. The immediate exit out of the drivethrough to the sideroad offers no means to enter the parking lot so as to go in and speak to staff so perhaps this makes “Ms Entitled to work poorly” feel she won’t be reported on. Placed an order for 6 burgers on uber eats, ordered them with pickles, tomato, ketchup and mayo. I got exactly 1 pickle slice and 1 razor thin tomato slice per burger and barely any ketchup or mayo. 3/4 of the burgers were just meat and bun. I went in drive thru and ordered 2 apple pies, a meal of burger with onion rings. First, the lady speaks very low could barely hear her. I picked up my order through the window, the lady looked like she's high and for some reason I checked the bag, which I ... usually don't, my order was wrong. Gave me a fries instead of onion rings. I told the lady about it and she's like oh sorry and changed it. I let it go and left. I came home ate the meal and looked for my pies. Only gave me 1 pie, which I ordered 2, and worst thing it's a wrong pie. They gave me a custard pie. What the heck is going on with the workers there. Don't check the customer orders just throw whatever in the bag. We pay for what we order not what the workers just want to throw in the bag. Worst customer service! Read more

This is probably my Favourite Burger place in Hamilton. Mainly because I've been coming here on and off for a few decades now. I have so many Nice memories of my Dad taking me here, and the smell of the grill and the meat cooking. This was his favourite place ... too. I came here a week ago, and was having a lousy day- and had an Angus Burger combo (my first ever), and it was Perfect, and it cheered me up straight away. The dining are looks quite different from the 80's, and 90's.. but it was VERY clean and relaxed. This place is never crowded, but is never empty either. The staff was Very Nice, and professional.
