Firth’s Celtic Pub - Hamilton, Ontario

Food was pretty good over all. Wings were above average, deep fried pickles were tasty, burger spring roles could use more flavour and were very greasy. Place was busy on a Sunday and service was not as tentative as you’d like. Would visit again

Great place, the service is good, prices are good. The food is pretty good but it depends. Sometimes the food is great and sometimes it is just ok. I find the fries are good fries but seem to have a seasoning that is not great in my opinion. The ... wings are really really good most of the time but sometimes they are chewy with not much sauce. The fish is delicious, tasty, moist, cooked just right, but the breading is not my favourite. The nachos are usually good but once it wasn't very good with hardly any toppings and they were cold. Nice looking place but terrible wings atleast the chicken parmesan, super dry and like someone sprinkled parmesan cheese on top ,couldnt taste any garlic. Waitress was very attentive to tables with big groups but ignored the smaller tables. When she asked us how things were and I went to ... say something she never even looked at us and kept walking. Only at the end was I able to raise my concerns, When I brought the concern to the waitress she was dismissive and said that's how they do it there. Besides that it took 15 mins after sitting down to get my beer , my dad got a coke which was 3 plus dollars and not once did she come by for a refill, from sitting down (which a different lady brought us to the table) she took our order , took 15 mins to bring us our drinks , and then took our order, after bringing us our food we did not see her again she not once checked on us to see how we were doing. Got their Sunday wing and pint special. Both were absolutely delicious! Server was very personable, food came out quickly, conversations were good. Love this pub!

What a great place with lots of character and charm to it. Nice Irish pub, and what you would expect from it. Great food, lovely service, very cozy in the cold season. Christmas decor is charming and homey. Warm. Lots of locals. Looks like a great patio for the summer time. The bus ... stop is right in front of it and very convenient. Read more
