Doors Pub: Taco Joint & Metal Bar - Hamilton, Ontario

This concert venue is like being in someone's living room. It has a couple of corner benches (one on each side) that come in handy for those that want to sit. Lighting in this venue can be lacking, so it's great if bands can bring some. Mosh pit area is kinda small, ... but still works as long as the pit people respect the musicians' space, and stays friendly to the rest of the crowd. Flailing elbows and feet are not welcome, as it can make things dangerous. A young girl got injured due to this, on Saturday this weekend. I am thankful a musician told the flailing fellows, that it was not welcome, and they left. No threats of injuries at shows, is always better. One of my favourite places to go to! I’ve been here about 3 times since I moved to Hamilton - I moved here last Sunday, 7 days ago. That’s gotta tell you something great about this place! The Taco’s are absolutely worth the $7, trust me! They are so filling, ... taste absolutely amazing and pair so well with any beer on the menu, I think we spent $32? 33? For 2 tacos (they’re huge btw), and 2 pint’s of beer! Absolutely cool scene down there too, super cozy, everyone’s wonderful (of course, it’s a metal bar), and they have some super cool brews to check out if you’re a beer fan! 12/10 recommend to anyone! Great atmosphere. The tacos are huge and taste like your basic white mom would make at home (not a bad thing). The BBQ chicken taco is my favourite and there is also a veggie/soy option. Great value for the price and really hit the spot on a night out. Will ... definitely be back. Read more
