My two cents on the best donut shop in Hamilton debate. I think Gandads is the best in Hamilton because of the price to quality ratio, and the combined goodness of their donuts and coffee. They nail the old-school donut style perfectly, they're baked in-house, and they still get some ... creative twists. The coffee is above average for a donut shop. Walked right in on a Saturday morning, barely had to wait, staff was VERY friendly and they had everything in stock. The donuts are excellent-not heavy (so you don’t feel like a blob of garbage after having one), and fresh. My lemon donut had plenty of filling, and ... the vanilla dip made me want to yodel. I truly classic donut shop. They have all the greats and are baked fresh every morning. None of this mass produced and thawed out business. It’s a very nostalgic taste and worth the wait in line. I truly have never had better donuts! This place is the absolute best. Everything is fresh. Staff is very kind and friendly. Place is clean and wheelchair accessible. Pricing is extremely reasonable.
