I stopped by on a Friday for dinner- I'd just moved to the neighbourhood and wanted to try some of the local spots. I'm so glad I went! I met Sue, the manager, and she was very friendly. Our server (who's name I didn't catch, oops!) was amazing from the ... get-go. I asked him to surprise me with a drink, and he did- it was definitely NOT something I would have ordered but I loved it! We were also presented with the option of tasters for the amazing craft beer selection- I'm glad that was available too because we got to try some incredible beer! I liked the simplicity of the menu and also that the appetizers appear to change frequently. I had the Shrimp Mac and Cheese. It was pretty good! It was a little liquidier than I expected but I still loved it. My table mates had the Pork platter (which went over amazingly) and the stuffed chicken breasts. Also, I usually do not get desserts in restaurants... but the Sugar Pie sounded too amazing to pass up. Also, it was DELICIOUS. It was HEAVEN. I could have eaten an entire pie. I only wish I had been given a larger slice! I even got a piece to go. I had a really good experience here. It's not cheap, but with the good quality of food, I wouldn't expect it to be! I was there with my daughter on Saturday during the Ottawa Street Sale. While waiting for our food, and enjoying a glass of wine, - we were sitting at the bar stools at the front window, a bee stung me on the underside of my arm. It was ... extremely painful today is Monday and it is still swollen. I notified the waitress, and she said "oh sorry" and walked away. I had to get up to ask her for ice which she brought and then I had to ask for a tissue as she did not bring one to assist with the ice or the drips running down my clothing. She did not seem interested that a patron had been stung by a bee and upon further inspection, there were 4 more bees crawling under the bar on the windows (hence why we could not see them when we sat there) which could have caused potential harm. My daughter and I had to kill them ourselves. The lack of concern, and disregard for your customers was obvious. You would think she may have tried to ensure there were no more bees herself. Then there was not even a suggestion to comp my wine or the 1 soft bun I got in order to somewhat make me feel that she was sympathetic to what had occurred. You are luck that I do not have an allergic reaction from bee stings. I get bees on patios - but inside the restaurant - you should be looked after - properly by your staff. At this point - I am not likely to visit any of your restaurants again,as I am upset with the lack of concern. We are frequent visitors to 2 black sheep and rapscallion as we just live around the corner, but every time I move my left arm - I am in pain and wont forget that mistreatment very easily. Delicious, carefully prepared, exquisite condiments (sriracha and tamarind). Funky setting, and so so fresh.

We just had dinner there and it was fantastic. Service was perfect and the food was amazing. If you go, you need to step outside your comfort zone and try things you wouldn't normally try. You won't be let down.
