Shore Club - Halifax, Nova Scotia

We had a fantastic time at the Shore Club! Our host (Luke, if I remember right), gave us a ton of useful info about the restaurant and the area. We are from the US so he gave us so many recommendations and was incredibly friendly. The food was fantastic. The salad bar ... was an array of different kinds of ayce salads. The shore club may make you feel like you’re in an 80’s movie staring John Candy, but it’s an awesome movie and both the food and staff played a big role in that. More Reminiscent of the places we hit in n Cape Breton years ago than in Halifax, ... they bang out a simple lobster meal at a reasonable price. What a treat to experience the original lobster dinner. Great space with quick service. Nothing pretentious but just good ol’ lobster dinner. I highly recommend adding the 5 oz steak for $12! It was perfectly cooked and a good supplement to the meal as we only ordered the one entree ... and supplement for just the mussels and all the fixings. It was more than enough food as you get the 1 lb of mussels each that was cooked just right unseasoned but just the juices of the sea. The salad bar was more like sides buffet than a salad bar per day as everything was in some sort of sauce or dressing. Consider this a cheat day and bring your phat pants with you. Fantastic place. This is a real authentic lobster supper. Highly recommended!! We had five of us including a 9 year old. The hosts were friendly and genuinely interested in getting to know us. The salad bar was amazing as was the mussels and of course, the lobster. Also, the show ... “Moonshine” was being filmed right outside which was pretty cool! Read more
