Peter’s Pizzeria - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Upon visiting Halifax after two years, one of my first stops was here. The donair pizza was absolutely delicious. Despite the owner being a little grumpy, his culinary skills are undeniable. The bread, cheese, and meat were incredibly fresh, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have been getting Donairs and Pizza here since 1989. Long story short I had their Classic medium pizza... two weeks ago and my gosh it's was wow. (No I don't work, own this establishment ) Not thick and not thin crust ..just balanced. The meats were of great ... quality. The sauce was.. let me just skip to end. Folks behind the counter are beautiful souls. Pizza and service is fantastic. They use a proper clay brick oven. Good things come to those who wait, and waiting for fresh pizza was rewarded very well. Stop to chat with your neighbours, live in the city you reside and take some fun ... risks. We ordered the carnivore and donair pizza and they were absolutely awesome, great crust and tons of toppings!

I pre-ordered fish and chips and walked here on my lunch. The old lady was sweet but unfortunately the young guy was customer facing, who was aggressive and argumentative. I only wanted to pay so I could get back to work. The fish was pretty good for a pizza place ... and there was a generous portion of fries - so many that I couldn't comfortably eat them which would've been amazing had I ordered them from home.
