This was my first time, amazing sushi and wonderful service. The owners gave me a free sample of their chap-che. Delicious! Thank you for serving the community for 22 years !

This is my all-time favourite restaurant!! I’m so sad they’ll be closing at the end of September :( I’ve been going to them for years. They make THE BEST sushi I’ve ever tried. All food is made fresh, super delicious and always prepped in a timely matter. The owners ... are the kindest people I’ve ever met and are very accommodating to all my preferences. Great little sushi spot in Halifax. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cute, the hosts are welcoming and friendly, and most importantly to me the sushi is really good! Recommend giving the Minato roll a shot -- sometimes when you get avocado on sushi it's an afterthought or brown, ... or underripe -- this was perfect and reminded me why people put avocado on sushi in the first place. Been my fav sushi restaurant in the city for well over a decade - I've been dumped here and STILL enjoyed the food and service! Incredible value, comfortable restaurant and unmatched quality every time.

Amazing good food! Prices have recently been updated as well, so here is the most up to date menu as of June 2023. I’m from the west coast and the first spot I dined in here on the east coast was Minato sushi! The old school pink ... classic building just stood out from the rest of the surrounding buildings. It’s well worth it! And it’s only run by husband and wife, super kind and generous vibes from them. Recommend trying it if you are looking for some good Japanese food. Read more
