The best word to sum up my meal was fine. The calamari was tender but the sauce on it lacked flavour and the coating on it became mush. It was almost a hour before we got our mains. We had finished our sparkling water and for over half a hour ... no one came to refill them. The veggies I had had no seasoning. The lamb chops are yummy. For the price it was not worth it. I was excited to try this restaurant. Upon arriving late, we were seated immediately at our friends table, which was a great welcome. Looking at the drink menu it would’ve been nice to have some by the glass options of wine rather than just by the bottle. Our server came ... around and had a nice but casual demeanor. We ordered the prosciutto and warm olives and were very disappointed with the quantity and presentation of the dish. The radicchio salad was great and I would order that again. I then ordered the fillet tenderloin with broccolini. When it came, it was not broccolini but broccoli creatively cut. As we were eating, 3 of us saw a mouse crawl under the table and were put off from the food. I went up to chat about it with the host and he mentioned that they have pest control in daily to mitigate the issue. As the night went on, our server Scott became increasingly casual and attitudinal. For such a restaurant as Del Maurizio it was disappointing. We paid with Arty who was new at the job and was absolutely a pleasure. Throughout the night the music stopped and the restaurant was completely quiet. Honestly ignore any reviews under 5 stars. This place is the best fine dining place in the city. I've been to a few "fine dining" places in the city and most just pander to tourists, or are just slightly fancy pubs. This place is genuinely good. If you want to ... take your partner on a "knock your socks off" date, this is the spot. The place feels very high class. The atmosphere is so relaxed and romantic. The food is always immaculate as well. (I highly recommend the mussels as an appetizer) and the staff are very friendly and do their job perfectly every time. They're also very willing to accommodate dietary restrictions, in my experience. (I can't have alcohol in my food) It's right by the waterfront too. Go for a stroll on the waterfront before your reservation and it'll make for the perfect date. Read more

Based on price range, I expected next level/mindblowing food experience. Appetizer was good but main dish was average. Wine selection is not bad. Made reservation in advance but did not make cut to be seated on the main floor. So maybe my review would differ from main floor atmosphere experience.

We wanted a special restaurant as it was our last weekend away for our second baby arrives. DaMaurizio did not disappoint! From the minute we walked in we felt like special guests. The hostess was so friendly and kind. Our server was funny, knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We started ... with bread then the spiced olives & bruschetta - all of which were delicious! I had the pappardelle and my husband had the bolognese and they were both 10/10.
