Ryan Duffy’s - Halifax, Nova Scotia

I’m atypical, since most of the time I go here it’s for lunch, not dinner, so reviewing the pride of the restaurant - steak - is not something I can really do. I also order the exact same thing from the lunch menu, the Duffy’s Burger, every time. I enjoyed ... it a few days ago - absolutely delicious! The fries that accompanied it were obviously hand cut and the side Caesar salad was excellent. My friend had a very large portion of panko-crusted haddock that he said was excellent. The waitress serving us was attentive, friendly and very personable - the very kind of person you want interacting with the public. Her wine recommendation was spot on. The inside of the restaurant is dark and cozy, as per the typical atmosphere of many steakhouses. Highly recommended. Read more

The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Their burger week burger was one of my favourites.

We had dinner here for our anniversary and it was really good. The atmosphere was nice and romantic and the service was good. The food selection was a bit on the light side but they do specialize in steak so don't expect a menu like Baton Rouge or Keg, they ... are much more limited here. The steak was REALLY well prepared, I had the ribeye and my wife had the tenderloin, I really wish I had went with the tenderloin as it was like butter in the mouth whereas the ribeye offers a bit more resistance but had a much nicer sear. The one mistake we made was ordering their apple crumble for dessert which was not very good at all and I cannot recommend it. My wife had the dutch pie which was delicious! Had a great dinner and evening at Ryan Duffy's. The service was friendly, personal, and prompt. This restaurant definitely specializes in steaks and fresh seafood, as they did an excellent job cooking the steak and lobster. However, the pasta we ordered was dry, lacking in flavor, and disappointing for the ... price. Overall I would recommend trying this place out! Read more

Wonderful ambience, and excellent service. Definitely a place to go for a steak - as mine was cooked to perfection! Fresh lobster from in-house tank ensured fresh meat which was delicious!
