Mezza Mediterranean Grill - Halifax, Nova Scotia

I know this place is closing this weekend, but I might as well review what I had. I realize the service is unlikely to be as good as it was in this restaurants heyday, but it was OK enough. The good thing is that the food we got ... was pretty good. We ordered some things to eat in the restaurant and some things to go. We didn't get silverware for either and they missed one of our dishes in the take out order. Was still quite expensive. The one appetizer I can recommend is the sujuk. The menu says it's spicy but it's not, though it's still delicious. I think they pretty much just gave up because they are closing soon. Oh well. Read more

Must say I'm disappointed I just showed up at 950 to grab a shwarma after my shift and the doors were already locked

Confusing. No where does it say that this location is different than the other Mezza location. Namely because the menu is entirely different and they do not serve Donairs. Also I've never been to another Lebanese restaurant that charged me extra ( in this case $1.50) for garlic sauce. I had the rack of lamb and really enjoyed it. Also found the place to feel calm.

I LOVE this restaraunt. The food is great, the decor is lovely, and the price is reasonable. I am going back again tonight. The only thing they could improve on is the service, I find it a little slow, especially when you're waiting for your wine glass to be refilled. ... Other than that, it's lovely. Read more
