Anna’s Cafe & Grill - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Went to Anna's today for their amazing food and fantastic service to find out they are closed down permanently. I don't know if it was a Covid casualty or not, but I am very sad about this loss. There are too many small mom&pop shops that are going under. ... Anna's was very personable and friendly and Anna always made sure you were well taken care of. Weird reception from Anna. Not overly welcoming and almost seemed a bit aggravated that we came inside. There were some regulars there that she greeted with smiles and was way more friendly with. My colleague brought me here as she has come a few times. The counter attendant was very kind and sweet. I ordered fish & chips. One piece was hard, the other was fine. Small portions. The fries were not cooked in the middle. I would stick to a seafood restaurant ... in the future for this kind of meal. But I would go back to try a wrap or something quick as prices are good. What a perfect place for breakfast and lunch! It’s all made fresh and home cooked style. The ladies behind the counter reminds me on my mom. Great food, service, and prices. I wanted something healthy so they added fresh fruits. It’s a little hard to find but worth looking for it.
