This place is an absolute gem! I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was so good that I ordered another piece. We were fortunate enough to go at a time that parking was available, 1-2 vehicles can be parked directly in front of the restaurant and I’m not ... aware of any other parking for the restaurant in the area. Terribly disappointed to have a leave a 3-star. If you just want the fish, or are eating in, this is your spot - best in town by far, no contest. As a person who wants the fries and eats at home 100% of the time however, I can say with ... the last 4 orders the fries have been slightly undercooked and soggy. I specify "fries crispy" and "please package fish and chips separately", but the fries inevitably come under the fish and just undercooked so it's more like mashed potatoes. Also, I was surprised the first time I ordered here that you have to specify and pay extra for coleslaw and tartar, even with clams, and no lemon available. Maybe I'm old fashioned. Read more

The best fish and chips I've had in Halifax so far. I'm from a rural area of NS with lots of small fishing villages, and this place really reminded me of home. Fish tasted very fresh, and I left feeling very full and satisfied.

Best ‘authentic’ Fish and Chips in the town. Considering the prices(Highly recommend getting the deal of 2 or 3 pieces) they’re massive with a very generous amount of chips/fries. Special mention to their Chicken burger which is also great. Oh and the pies. A throwback small joint that deserves all ... the praise. This is the oldest Fish and Chips joint in Halifax and has a very British style charm to it. In fact, the owner has a British accent! It is a simple setup and has a homely feel; Mom and pop style. The fish pieces are HUGE and DELICIOUS. Very impressed. And the ... prices are excellent. I also liked the curry sauce that comes with it. Very similar to how it’s served in England.
