The Bicycle Thief was a 13-minute walk from my hotel, the King George. The walk was pleasant, and I met my fellow board members there after a leadership conference. We shared various dishes, and each one was delicious. This experience convinced me that most restaurants in New Brunswick have excellent ... cuisine. While the prices are a bit high, and the taxes steep, the quality of the food makes it worth it. Additionally, the restaurant had a variety of merchandise for sale, which added to the overall experience. The customer service was outstanding, making our visit even more enjoyable. This Italian seafood restaurant is great. The seafood is fresh and delicious, especially the seafood platter and pasta. The waiters are friendly and professional, and the service is fast. I reserved the table before going. This is recommended to avoid waiting or walking away due to full house. The food was amazing (200/100 quality). Except one dish, which was the dish of the day (Tuna risotto). I ordered tuna risotto as my main dish but it was overly salty. I ... was like eating salt directly and that was quite disappointing because I really like risotto. However, I do not wish to penalize them for the effort to provide us good food and experience just because of the risotto. Hopefully, the chef could be more careful when seasoning the food because they can really produce delicious food! Both my husband and I felt that this restaurant gave a great contribution to our Halifax trip, as we got to taste the fresh seafood which were served in so many ways yet tasted so so so great! Yes, the restaurant was quite noisy and busy on Monday evening (public holiday) but that did not affect us to enjoy our good dinner. Service wise, I would not say it was great but just OK. We understood that the waiters and waitresses had to deal with so many customers and it was hard. Of course the overall experience would be better if the service was different. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in ( downtown Halifax ). The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience.
