Ordered take out. First time in Halifax from Calgary! :) hands down… the BEST hot and sour soup I’ve EVER had!!!

Good food, a bit salty... both dishes, charged me for hot sauce without telling me... could have gotten my own if I was informed. $2 for a tbsp worth. Waitress was very busy bt still very nice and timely as possible.

Best Chinese food in Halifax!! Their food is always very HOT and freshly made. Their combos are great portion sizes at awesome prices. I've tried all their "American Chinese" classics; my favourite is their beef and broccoli. Huge pieces of beef and the broccoli is still crisp. The sweet and ... sour chicken (chicken balls) is very yummy, the right amount of chicken to batter. My family has been ordering from this place for years and while they have gone through ups and downs in terms of quality, there has been consistently good food from this location for the last 3 years since the change in ownership. Highly recommend Look Ho Ho to anyone looking for delicious, hot, fresh Chinese food for take out or eat in. Make sure to order an extra egg roll! **Review edit as of April 30** - arrived at Look Ho Ho at 8:08pm on April 25 wanting to eat in. The girl working the counter was VERY hesitant to "let" us sit down and tried to insist we order take out. We told her we'd be done long before closing time. We could tell our presence annoyed her and that she was irritated we chose to eat in. We ordered, ate, paid, and were walking out the door at 8:38. 30 minutes all in. Exactly the sort of quick experience I'd expect from Look Ho Ho. But was disappointed with the staff that didn't want to let us eat in even though it was 52 minutes before close. Read more

after 65 years, they are still serving great Chinese food with great service. The staff is wonderful. I left a good tip because the service was better than expected. Parking is a little bit tricky, but there was on street parking at the outside of the restaurant.

Food was awesome. The Chop Suey was very unique and delicious with sprouts, beef and vegetables in a yummy sauce. Bough a half L wine for a reasonable price. My kid enjoyed the food. All together it was a good experience.
