Humani-T Cafe - Halifax, Nova Scotia

I have had Humani-T Cafe on our list for months - I've always been drawn in by their delicious looking gelato! We finally had a chance to pop in today, and this place is much bigger inside than I anticipated! They are also so much more than just a cafe; ... we really underestimated it. They have lots of loose leaf teas and accessories, a unique variety of dried goods (I found barberries here!! They are impossible to find!!), big variety of branded condiments (like curry paste, chutneys, etc), lots of treat options with considerable attention to GF and Vegan options, a hot and cold beverage menu and of course, the gelato 😍 I had a wildberry iced tea and it was really delicious. We didn't try gelato today but I can guarantee we will be back! The staff member helping us was very friendly and even offered to let us try some of the gelato (it was very tempting). Best Gelato! I had Blueberry, Lemon Cheesecake. Delectibly rich with some tartness! My son had cookie dough. He ate soooo much! I will try them all!!!!! 😊

One of the best vege wraps I have ever had. Toasted to perfection, great flavour combination. Tomato and brie panini was sensational. Good coffee and easy take out. Have also sat in once before. Its a pleasant atmosphere.

EDIT: I've just been back and I'll admit - this place has really grown on me. I just tried some vegan gelato and it was fantastic! It's a funky little place that blends a health food store with a café. I'll admit that when I first showed up I puzzled over ... where the cafe entrance was until I realized they were one in the same. It's definitely an eclectic place, and it's probably well suited to a certain crowd. I'm not that crowd, but I won't knock a place just because it isn't my style. Read more

I have to give a 5 out of 5, I have loved every single thing I have ever tried from Humani-T Cafe. The service is always quick and staff are all amazing. Being someone with a dairy allergy, I greatly appreciate the vegan options for the gelatos and sorbettos. The ... fact that when they design new flavours they always come up with new vegan options as well which is amazing. I tell everyone I can to check you guys out, and I let them know all that you have to offer.
