Chives Canadian Bistro - Halifax, Nova Scotia

My husband and I have been here a couple times, both were in a private room for different celebrations. Service is top notch, super professional and friendly. Excellent spot for a special quiet meal. The food is super delicious and satisfying. Definitely recommend and will return!

Great place and great food. I have eaten here a number of times. They have gone out of their way to accommodate any allergy issues. Every time they have been very attentive to the allergy request. The servers have always been knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. The water and ... wine are always refilled promptly. I can't think of anything they could have done better. This was an amazing birthday dinner! I had the pumpkin soup as an appetizer and the short ribs as the main course. Both were fantastic! My wife had the pappardelle pasta which was the pasta of the day. It was excellent. Our service was Johnny-Lynn. ... She was an excellent server. Very nice restaurant, with great service. Fancy, low lighting with candles at the tables. Not what I expected from the name, but was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection, definitely the best steak I have ever had. Ordered a great cider too, and their homemade caramel ... ice cream was amazing.
