Trident Cafe and Booksellers - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Fantastic little book store and coffee shop. The barista knows how to make a strong and tasty cup of cappuccino. I do recommend the double shot. The teas are great too, very flavourful and smooth. Alternatives milks are available.

I like this atmosphere and the opportunity to take a moment and enjoy a cup of coffee among a lot of books. They have good hot chocolate. We tried some desserts and our bill was under $10! Also, they have plants and drawings on the walls, which create a perfect calm ... mood. Just one sad moment for me was the old washroom, but I am willing to forgive them for that. Read more

This place is so cozy and warm. Went here for coffee and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff weren’t overly friendly but not off putting. We got a drip coffee and a cappuccino and both were quite good although the drip coffee was a bit too watery. They have a ... nice bowl of day old pastries for a discounted price which is nice. Books and coffee, what’s not to like? The coffee here is really good and might very well be my favorite in the city. There is also a nice area to sit and enjoy your coffee while reading.

A supremely cozy spot to study or work. It's a quieter cafe for sure, with lots of books to read while you're there. Modest selection of drinks and baked goods but quite yummy. Trident's atmosphere is really what's 10/10, and worth making the trip for if you're not downtown. Also, god ... bless that they are open till 9pm, we desperately need some more night time coffee shops, and these hours are greatly appreciated!! Read more
