Dilly Dally Coffee Cafe - Halifax, Nova Scotia

This is a charming and cozy spot to go on a solo date or to have a conversation with a friend. Not recommended to large groups (I would say 3max) because it is intended for a more intimate experience. The staff is lovely and super helpful. The menu has lots ... of diverse and unique options. We tried two different flavoured (one savoury and one sweet) and two types of coffee. Everything was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! I loved how the dishes and cutlery were all so vibrant as well. There were people there just having a coffe and chatting, other just reading a book, some having a full meal. This was my first time at Dilly Dally and I see why it's such a popular spot. If you haven't been yet, definitely go! The service, food, and atmosphere are all 5-star. I tried the smoked salmon bagel and the brie and ham bagel, while my partner opted for the avocado toast—which they found disappointing as it wasn't quite what they expected. Personally, I enjoyed the food and absolutely loved the quality of their coffee! The staff are delightful, and the cafe ... has a cute, queer-friendly vibe. Be aware that it gets quite busy over the weekend. The major downside for me was the ventilation; as they warmed up sandwiches, the entire cafe filled with a smoky, oily scent, and I left smelling like that for hours. A bustling cafe with a delicious assortment of coffees and food. A bit cramped as there is limited seating indoors and there are a few tables outside on the patio. Their Fried Egg Sammy breakfast sandwich had a nice challah bread-like texture. Make sure you eat it with the dill as ... it complements the egg yolk and bread nicely.
