Chebucto Inn - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Very misleading name... would think Chebucto Inn would be located on Chebucto road. Spent hours driving up and down chebucto road looking for this Inn with my 5 year old, 3 year old, and newborn baby. My wife was in my ears the entire time, and this sparked a conflict ... between us that led to her filing for divorce against me. Ever since then life's just been a combination of alcoholism and a deep depression, which led to her winning the custody case and taking my kids. Karen if you're reading this please give me another chance, the misleading location of this Inn is not something to ruin all those beautiful years we had together :( Read more

Currently staying at the motel for one more night. Not at all impressed with the staff. I asked for assistance last evening with hooking my iPad to the tv and was told that is a tech issue and I cannot help. No effort whatsoever. Today I went to the restaurant ... to borrow a bowl and spoon and staff only offered a disposable very small bowl and refused to give me a regular bowl and spoon. I was surprised at the customer service or lack thereof during this stay. Rooms are nice and clean but this type of treatment by staff will not result in a return visit. Read more

I was on a roadtrip from California, across the States, and into Canada. Unfortunately, I had a mechanical issue in Nova Scotia. Fortunately, I was able to get a room at Chebucto which was close to the Porsche dealership. The nice lady at ... the front desk allowed me to stay a little longer in the parking lot the next day so that I could make an ignition repair on my 911. The location was decent. I was able to walk 5 min to a pizza place for dinner. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough. It's hard to judge because I was on a road trip for 31 days, and after driving all day, everything is comfortable. Read more

Onsite restaurant serves a decent, standard low cost breakfast. Been twice and both times got what was expected, a typical “diner style” offering. Bathroom was located next to the front desk in the motel, could definitely use an update. Have never stayed at the property, only eaten at ... the restaurant. Read more

Booked a week but left early. Toilet backed up and flooded room with sewage water. Management did not want to give us a different room. Told my 65 yr old disabled mother to “f- off” when she complained. Workmen dumped sewage water in parking lot and smoking area. ... Power failure lasting several hours finally made us decide to leave. Evidence of narcotics use around building. Some guests would urinate and vomit in parking lot every evening! Room was not as described… no microwave etc. Metal shards, nails and other dangerous items all around room entrance. This place is a health hazard! The manager was aggressive and foul-mouthed in every interaction I witnessed between my family or other guests. Read more
